Stari Grad

Stari Grad, situated on the north-western part of Hvar in a deep and protected cove is the oldest town in Europe. Since 384 BC this hidden gem has been described as one of the most picturesque towns in Croatia.

The long past of Stari Grad means it’s steeped in historical sites to explore; from the remains of Roman summer houses to St Ivan church, the oldest and most valuable monument in the town.
The idyllic location of Stari Grad makes it the perfect place to enjoy long walks, and explore the beautiful beaches of Lanterna beach, Maslinica beach and Banj beach, plus many more.
