Skinoussa

Skinoussa is one of the six small islands that together make up the Minor Cyclades. In the last few years this group of islands has become quite fashionable and, happily, whilst facilities have improved,  mass tourism has not taken over.

Relax on your Skinoussa yacht charter and enjoy some of the most dramatic views in the region – Skinoussa’s indented coastline, sweeping valleys and partly submerged headlands make for a stunning landscape. You can dock at the small port of Mersini, home to a single taverna, and walk up the hill to the village of Hora where you will find a little more life and a few more places to eat.

Bring a hat and slap on the sunscreen – the walk takes about fifteen minutes and there’s no shade! There are medieval ruins to explore outside Messaria. Skinoussa is known for its beaches – the island has sixteen dotted around its coast – and ocean caves. Tsigouria is the most developed, while the locals prefer Alygaria, to the south, Psili Ammos to the northeast and Almyros, to the southeast.

The other islands that make up the Minor Cyclades include Ano Koufonissi, Iraklia and Dhonoussa and a Skinoussa boat charter allows you to explore their many and varied charms at your leisure.  This is Greek island hopping at its best and most laid-back.
