Just a short hop from Hunga Island lays the picturesque island of Vaka’eitu. Linked to the neighbouring island of Nuapapu via a stunning coral reef, these two islands form a giant horseshoe-shaped bay around the deep azure waters.

A yacht charter to Vakaeitu offers a pure cruising delight. Here you’ll find safe and secluded anchorages, perfect for another peaceful nights rest. There’s some great snorkelling to be had amongst the coral gardens and with secluded beaches set against lush green mountainous backdrops, it’s the ideal place to spend a lazy morning exploring.

For a slightly more adventurous afternoon sail over to nearby Foeata Island. This tiny island is a favourite stop for eco-tourists, who come to admire the islands renewable energy features and watch the Humpback Whales that frequent the area between July and October each year.

Ashore you’ll find the exquisite Blue Lagoon resort. Surrounded by crystal turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and a tropical rainforest, the Blue Lagoon Resort offers plenty of activities to keep you amused both on and off the water. Hop in a Sunsail kayak and discover the islands coves and inlets, stopping to snorkel the coral reefs teaming with the tropical marine life of squid, rays and turtles. Or simply kick off your sandals and hop into a beach hammock and listen to the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the beach.

Take the opportunity to dine ashore in the exquisite restaurant, which offers vistas out over the lagoon and surrounding reef. Enjoy the freshly caught fish and local delicacies as you look out and try to spot a magnificent Humpback Whale passing by.

Anchor in the bight just north of Vaka′eitu Island for a peaceful nights rest and by day you can anchor on the north side of Foeata Island.
