Koh Racha Yai

Koh Racha Yai lies about 12 miles south of Phuket, one of two islands that make up the Racha Islands.  In Thai, 'Yai' means big and as you would expect, Koh Racha Yai is the larger of the two islands of the group.  There are two main beaches offering soft white sand and stunning views of the nearby islands, as well as small bays with secluded beaches including Lha Bay, Ter Bay and Kon Kare Bay.

Koh Racha Yai’s east coast is renowned for scuba diving, with visibility as good as 30m. There are tracks and trails linking some of the beaches on the island, although much of the interior of the island is steep, forested hills. There are a few rustic restaurants located on the island, often overlooking the picturesque beaches.

Koh Racha Yai yacht charter allows you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the island, as well as some of the main pastimes in the area, fishing and snorkelling.  Kon Kare Bay is the location of the Ban Raya Resort and Spa which offers its own horse-riding club.
