Kefalonia Flotilla

Overview

The Kefalonia Flotilla takes you on a relaxing sail around some of the best locations in the Ionian, enjoying fantastic scenery, gorgeous beaches, traditional Greek villages and a sleepy lifestyle.

Created with families and inexperienced Flotilla sailors in mind, Kefalonia is an ‘Easy Flotilla’ following a straightforward route of short stops in sheltered sailing areas.

Short and easy daily distances and comforting line-of-sight cruising make the Ionian the number one choice for those who are a little bit rusty on board or those just starting out in sailing.

This flotilla is particularly family orientated in June, July and August when an Activity Coordinator is added to the lead crew.

The Kefalonia Flotilla will also visit the town of Spartahori on Meganissi, perched high above Spilia Bay, which offers an unbeatable view across mainland Greece. The Flotilla also stops off at Lake Melissani where sailors can watch for Loggerhead Turtles and enjoy the traditional tavernas on this stunning Island.

  • Fiscardo Kefalonia

A must-do stop on your sailing holiday, the stunning mountainous landscape of Kefalonia (also spelt Cephalonia) was the backdrop to the movie of ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’. Fiscardo on the island’s north-eastern coast has since become fashionable, attracting a sophisticated crowd which likes to be seen in all the right places. The pretty harbour is surrounded by shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants and there is lively nightlife on hand. There are lovely coves to explore nearby.

  • Sivota Mourtos

A Sivota Mourtos boat charter allows you to explore the three rugged Sivota islands that are situated opposite the village of Mourtos on the mainland coast and are much favoured by sailors familiar with his part of the world as an ideal place to spend a few days chilling out. There’s more nightlife action to be had at Sand-bar Bay and the water park at Monastery Bay is a must for anyone travelling with children.

  • Spartahori Meganissi

The memory of your visit to the village of Spartahori is one that will stay with you long after you have returned home from your Meganissi yacht charter. Moor by the beach and climb up the hill to a village that looks as if it hasn’t changed in a hundred years. Eat either in the village or at one of the tavernas by the beach – the food is excellent in both.
