Saturday - Nov 5

Arrive at beautiful Marsh Harbour and spend your first night on board this Caribbean paradise. Meet up with fellow kiters and Lead Crew while attending the pre-flotilla chart briefing and enjoying some cold beverages.

Sunday - Nov 6

Kick off with some flat water cruising on the northern tip of the Island. Beautiful large sandy beach and a few some cay’s to explore. Visit Guana Cay’s excellent bars and restaurants or head to the beach—the reef off Guana Cay offers unmissable snorkeling. Grab a mooring buoy at Fisher’s Bay and take your dinghy to the aptly named Sunset Beach where the beach’s westerly aspect means the sunset views here cannot be missed.

Monday - Nov 7

Downwinder from Great Guana Cay through the shallow turquoise waters of Abaco Sound to the southern point of Green Turtle Cay. Ride the Mangroves. Afterwards, take a walk around the island to marvel at the unique architecture and stunning wildlife of Green Turtle Cay, or spend a lazy afternoon relaxing on the beach and snorkeling in the calm blue ocean. Green Turtle Cay is also known for its excellent restaurants, so sample the Bahamas’ famous lobster while you’re here. Rent a golf cart to visit the beautiful, quiet beaches on the Atlantic side of the island or head for little No Name Cay, just south of Green Turtle Cay. This tiny islet is also known as ‘Piggyville’, thanks to a group of semi-feral resident pigs you can feed, stroke and photograph.

Tuesday - Nov 8

Early morning motor to Elbow Cay. If the swell is heaving you can ride the famous Garbanzo’s surf break or if you are feeling like flat water the picturesque peninsula of clean golden sand that is Tahiti Beach. Tahiti Beach is partially submerged at high tide but provides the perfect spot for sunbathing and swimming when the tide is low,so anchor nearby and step ashore to explore this island paradise.

Wednesday - Nov 9

Further explore Elbow Cay and the surf breaks and slicks at Tahiti Beach and Tililoo Cut. Visit the unique Elbow Cay Lighthouse, one of the oldest kerosene lighthouses on Earth. This unspoilt, traditional island community is one of the undoubted highlights of Bahamas sailing, with a unique look and atmosphere that has seen the town used as a location in a number of films and TV shows. Dinner and drinks at Mackey’s or the Abaco Inn.

Thursday - Nov 10

Morning motor to Scotland Cay for a quick session and then launch for a downwinder to Treasure Cay where you can moor in a sheltered marina offering easy access to the fabulous Coco Beach. Coco Beach is a three-mile stretch of bright white sand, with verdant jungle and mangroves to one side and the boundless North Atlantic to the other. Make the most of your opportunity to relax and sunbathe on one of the best beaches in the world and named as National Geographic’s Top 10 Beaches.

Friday - Nov 11

Explore the beaches at Treasure Cay and run back up to Great Guana Cay for another epic downwinder then head back to Marsh Harbour in the evening for one last night of fun.

Saturday - Nov 12

It’s time to head home but we will all surely be scheming about the next adventure.

Meet your ocean guide

Brock Callen, professional kiteboarder and sailor.

"I have been sailing since I was 5 and kiteboarding for the last twelve years, and I have been lucky to do both in some of the most epic venues. But the opportunity to live on the boat and use that as the platform for all the fun is definitely the best. This trip is designed with that concept in mind. To use the Sunsail boats to take us all over the Abacos so we can explore and kite and enjoy our natural surroundings. I don't like it as much when you have to drive 20 minutes or further to your launch spot. I want to roll over, have my coffee, and throw my kite in the water to ride before breakfast.

I want to look through the binoculars and see a deserted beach and take the boat there and then ride in crystal clear Bahamas water. Thats what we all want, right?
